Cookie Policy

Last updated: 29 April 2026

ClearMyInbox uses a minimal number of cookies, all of which are essential:

  • Authentication cookie (essential) - an HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Strict cookie named auth that holds your session token. It is set by our API on login and used to authenticate your requests. The HttpOnly flag means it is not accessible to JavaScript, which protects it from XSS theft. This is not a tracking cookie.
  • Cookie banner preference (essential) - a localStorage flag that remembers you dismissed the cookie banner so it doesn't appear again.
  • Stripe (essential) - Stripe may set cookies during the checkout process to prevent fraud and process your payment. These are essential for payment functionality and are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.

We do not set any tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (PostHog) runs in cookieless mode, meaning no cookies are set for analytics purposes.

For our full data-handling practices, see our Privacy Policy.
