Marketing Box Guard
A free browser extension that unticks pre-checked marketing and newsletter opt-in boxes on signup and checkout forms before you submit them. Pre-ticked marketing boxes are not valid consent in the UK and EU, where the GDPR requires a clear affirmative action, but there is no equivalent opt-in law in the United States and the practice is still common there.
It runs entirely in the browser and sends us nothing by default. It has one optional feature, off until the user turns it on, which reports only the domain of a site found showing a pre-checked box.
