How to unsubscribe from Audible emails
The fastest way to unsubscribe from Audible emails is on the desktop site: sign in, select Account details beneath your name, open Notifications, and deselect every category - or opt out of all of them at once. That kills the Daily Deal, member offers, and new release recommendations in one visit. The catch with Audible is the Amazon linkage: your Audible login is an Amazon account, and Amazon sends its own Audible-flavored promotions under a separate preference system, so a complete opt-out usually takes two stops. Both are covered below, along with what stays on and how cancelling differs.

Method 1: Audible account notifications (desktop site)
- Sign in at audible.com in a browser.
- Hover over your name in the upper right and select Account details.
- In the Your account section, select Notifications.
- Deselect the communication categories you do not want - the Daily Deal is the one most people are here for - or unsubscribe from everything in one go.
Preferences are per account. If you have a second Audible account on a different email address, it keeps its own settings and needs the same treatment.
Method 2: the Audible mobile app
- Open the Audible app and go to Profile.
- Tap the Settings gear icon.
- Under Notifications, choose Email notifications and deselect the categories.
The iOS and Android paths are identical, and they edit the same account-level preferences as the desktop site.
Method 3: the Amazon side of Audible email
Because Audible is an Amazon company and your sign-in is your Amazon account, some audiobook marketing comes from Amazon itself and is governed by Amazon Communication Preferences, not Audible's Notifications page. Open your Amazon account settings, find Communication Preferences, and switch off Audible and audiobook promotions there. Our full walkthrough of that panel is in the guide on how to unsubscribe from Amazon emails - worth doing at the same time, since Amazon's own recommendation mail is just as persistent.
Unsubscribing is not cancelling your Audible membership
If you searched "Audible unsubscribe" meaning the monthly charge, that is a different lever. Cancelling lives under Account details → Cancel membership on the desktop site, and it ends billing and credit accrual - email opt-out does neither. The reverse is also true: cancel the membership and the marketing continues, often ramping up with winback offers, until you also clear the Notifications page.
Verify it actually stopped
With two preference systems in play, Audible is a sender where opt-outs genuinely slip through - you silence the Audible side and the Amazon side keeps mailing. ClearMyInbox re-checks the sender about 30 days after your opt-out and labels it Confirmed stopped or flags it as still emailing, which tells you exactly whether the second stop is still needed. Streaming senders behave much the same way - our Crunchyroll guide shows the per-category version of the same problem.
What stays on (transactional email)
Audible is explicit that account-related information keeps coming regardless of preferences: purchase receipts, credit and membership renewal notices, gift notifications, and replies to support requests. Those are transactional, not marketing, and no toggle turns them off. If mail keeps arriving beyond that after both opt-outs, handle it at the mailbox with filters - see how to stop unwanted emails on Gmail.
Frequently asked questions
How do I stop the Audible Daily Deal email?▾
The Daily Deal is its own list. Either click Unsubscribe in the footer of a Daily Deal email, or sign in on the Audible desktop site, open Account details, then Notifications, and deselect the deals category there. Audible confirms the change on a preference page where you can also review the other categories.
Does unsubscribing from Audible emails cancel my membership?▾
No. Email opt-out and membership billing are separate. Your credits keep accruing and your card keeps being charged until you cancel under Account details, Cancel membership. Stopping the emails only silences marketing like deals, recommendations, and new release alerts.
Why am I still getting Audible offers from Amazon?▾
Audible runs on your Amazon account, and Amazon itself sends Audible-related promotions under its own communication preferences. Opting out on Audible does not touch that side - open Amazon Communication Preferences from your Amazon account settings and switch off Audible and audiobook marketing there too.
I have more than one Audible account. Does one opt-out cover both?▾
No. Audible states that contact preferences are per account, so an account linked to a different email address keeps its own settings. Sign in to each account separately and repeat the Notifications opt-out.
Does Audible honor the one-click unsubscribe in Gmail?▾
Yes. Audible marketing emails carry the standard List-Unsubscribe header, so Gmail and Apple Mail show a native Unsubscribe button at the top of the message. It opts you out of the specific category that sent the email, which is the fastest single-list exit.
