How to unsubscribe from DoorDash emails
DoorDash unsubscribe is fast once you find the Notifications panel - it lives in Account → Notifications in both the mobile app and on doordash.com. DoorDash uses a grid of toggles across Email, Push, and SMS, so you can selectively kill emails while keeping order-status push notifications. Order confirmations and delivery updates are transactional and continue regardless of the marketing opt-out. Below covers the in-app method, the in-email link, and what to do about Caviar emails (DoorDash-owned but operated as a separate account).
Try ClearMyInbox free - bulk unsubscribe in one click, free for the first 3 scans.
Method 1: DoorDash app notifications
- Open the DoorDash app and tap Account at the bottom.
- Scroll down and tap Notifications.
- You will see categories with three toggles each: Email, Push, SMS. Categories include Promotions, Recommendations, DashPass, Surveys, and Order updates.
- Switch off the Email column for everything except Order updates if you want to keep delivery notifications.
The Email toggle controls only marketing email - order confirmations, receipts, and delivery updates are transactional and not affected.
Method 2: DoorDash web notifications
- Sign in at doordash.com.
- Click your name in the top-right and choose Account.
- Scroll to Notifications.
- Disable the Email channel for each marketing category.
Method 3: in-email Unsubscribe link
DoorDash promotional emails carry a footer Unsubscribe link signed with a token. It works without a login but only opts you out of the specific category that delivered the email. Gmail and Apple Mail will also expose DoorDash's List-Unsubscribe mail header as the native top-of-message Unsubscribe button - one click.
Method 4: bulk-unsubscribe across food delivery apps
Food-delivery apps are among the most email-aggressive consumer apps. DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, Instacart, and Postmates all send daily promos, weekly winback offers, and "$5 off your next order" reminders. ClearMyInbox scans your inbox and lets you opt out of all of them at once.
What about DashPass and Caviar?
DashPass marketing toggles off via the Notifications panel without affecting your DashPass subscription benefits. Caviar emails come from a sibling brand under the same parent (DoorDash Inc) but use a separate account at trycaviar.com. Sign in there separately and update Email preferences if you used to order from Caviar.
Frequently asked questions
Does unsubscribing stop order confirmations? ▾
No. Order confirmations, delivery updates, and receipts are transactional and continue regardless of marketing opt-out. They only fire when you actually place an order.
Where are DoorDash notification settings? ▾
In the app: tap Account → Notifications. On web: sign in at doordash.com, click your name → Account, scroll to Notifications. Both expose toggles for Email, Push, and SMS across each category.
How do I stop DashPass marketing emails specifically? ▾
DashPass marketing is its own category. Find the DashPass toggle in Notifications and switch off the Email channel. Even if you have an active DashPass subscription, you can silence DashPass marketing emails without cancelling.
Does DoorDash honor List-Unsubscribe? ▾
Yes. Gmail and Apple Mail will show the native one-click Unsubscribe button at the top of any DoorDash marketing email, using the standard RFC 8058 header. It is the fastest way to opt out of a single category.
Can I unsubscribe from Caviar emails too? ▾
Yes, but Caviar runs a separate account from DoorDash even though both are owned by DoorDash Inc. Sign in at trycaviar.com and update Email preferences in your Caviar account separately.
