How to unsubscribe from Skyscanner emails

To unsubscribe from Skyscanner emails you need to know which of two streams is filling your inbox: Price Alerts, the per-route fare trackers you set up while comparing flights, and the deal newsletters you were offered at sign-up. Both live in your Skyscanner account - Price Alerts behind your profile icon, newsletters under the Account area in the Price Alert Management and Subscriptions sections - and every email also carries its own Unsubscribe link at the bottom. One thing you will not find is booking mail: Skyscanner is a comparison site, so confirmations and receipts come from the airline or agent you actually booked with, and stopping Skyscanner mail never touches them.

Method 1: delete your saved Price Alerts

  1. Go to skyscanner.net and click Log in at the top of the screen.
  2. Click your profile icon and select Price Alerts.
  3. Every alert you have ever set is listed - remove the ones you no longer want.
  4. In the app: tap Profile, log in, and manage alerts under Your trips.

Each alert is its own subscription tied to one route and date search, which is why a heavy comparison session can leave you with half a dozen of them all emailing independently. A quirk worth knowing: alerts cannot be edited once created - if your dates change, delete the old alert and create a fresh one rather than expecting it to follow your plans.

Method 2: the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email

Skyscanner's own help pages call this the easiest route for a single alert: scroll to the bottom of the price alert email and click Unsubscribe, and that alert stops - no login needed. The same footer link on a newsletter drops you from that newsletter. Because each alert unsubscribes individually, an inbox full of different route alerts needs either one click per alert or the account clean-out in Method 1.

Method 3: switch off the newsletters in the Account area

For the travel deals and inspiration mail, log in and head to the Account area, then update your preferences in the Price Alert Management and Subscriptions sections. Skyscanner operates under UK and EU GDPR, so these preferences are a live consent record: switch a subscription off and that stream must stop. Account and security emails - password resets, login verifications - sit outside marketing consent and continue as normal.

Method 4: sweep every fare-alert engine at once

People who compare on Skyscanner usually compare everywhere - Kayak alerts from the same trip, plus marketing from whichever airline won the booking, often Ryanair. ClearMyInbox scans your inbox, groups every fare-alert and travel sender together, and lets you unsubscribe from the whole cluster in one pass instead of tracking each engine to its own settings page.

When Skyscanner emails keep coming anyway

The near-universal cause is a leftover alert: unsubscribing from one route's email does nothing to the other five alerts you forgot setting, so always finish with a look at the full list behind your profile icon. The other is misattribution - mail that looks like Skyscanner but comes from the airline or online agent you booked through, which needs its own opt-out under its own consent.

ClearMyInbox settles the question for you: about a month after your unsubscribe it re-checks whether the sender genuinely stopped and labels it Confirmed stopped, or flags it as still emailing - which, for Skyscanner, is usually the tell that an old alert survived the purge.

Filter or block the stragglers

For anything that outlives the account clean-out, go mailbox-side. In Gmail, filter the Skyscanner alert address to Skip Inbox or Delete - since Skyscanner sends no booking confirmations, filtering it is lower-risk than filtering an airline. The broader technique is in our guide to stopping unwanted emails on Gmail. In Outlook, a Sweep rule on the alerts address does the same job, and the Blocked senders and domains list under Junk email settings is the harder stop.

Frequently asked questions

How do I stop Skyscanner Price Alert emails but keep the newsletter?

The two streams are managed separately in your account. Click your profile icon, choose Price Alerts, and remove the alerts you no longer want - the newsletter subscription is untouched. Or scroll to the bottom of a specific alert email and use its Unsubscribe link, which ends that alert.

Can I edit an existing Skyscanner price alert instead of deleting it?

No. Skyscanner says an alert cannot be amended once created. Remove the old alert from your profile and set up a new one for the changed route or dates - each alert is fixed to the search it was created from.

Where are price alerts in the Skyscanner app?

Open the app, tap Profile and log in, then look in the Your trips section. Your alerts are listed there and each one can be viewed or removed. On the website, they live under the Price Alerts option behind your profile icon.

How do I stop all Skyscanner emails at once?

Use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Skyscanner email to drop off that stream, and log in to the Account area to clear the rest - Skyscanner points to the Price Alert Management and Subscriptions sections there as the place to update everything in one visit.

Why do booking emails keep coming after I unsubscribed from Skyscanner?

Because they are not from Skyscanner. Skyscanner is a comparison site - your booking is made with the airline or travel agent you clicked through to, and confirmations and receipts come from that provider under its own consent. Unsubscribe from the provider separately if its marketing follows.

Do I need to delete my Skyscanner account to stop the emails?

No. Removing your price alerts and updating the Subscriptions preferences in the Account area stops the email streams while keeping your account, saved trips, and login intact. Account deletion is a heavier GDPR step you only need if you want your data gone entirely.
