Method 1: the in-app email notification toggles

1. Open the TikTok app and tap Profile in the bottom-right corner.
2. Tap the three-line menu in the top corner, then Settings and privacy.
3. Tap Notifications.
4. Scroll to the bottom and open Email notifications.
5. Turn off All email notifications, or leave it on and disable only specific types such as recommendations and digests.

One trap: TikTok Shop marketing is governed by its own entry in the notification settings, so a user who flips the general email switch can still receive Shop promotions.
