How to unsubscribe from Uber Eats emails
The fastest Uber Eats unsubscribe is the central preferences hub at accounts.uber.com/communication - sign in once and you can switch off every Uber marketing email, text, and push category from a single screen. That matters because Uber does not run one mailing list: Rides promos, Uber Eats deals, recommendations, and partner offers are separate streams, and the footer Unsubscribe link in any single email only silences the stream that sent it. Receipts and delivery updates are transactional and keep arriving either way.

Method 1: the Uber communication preferences hub
- Go to accounts.uber.com/communication and sign in with the account you order from.
- Work through the listed categories - Uber groups promotions, recommendations, and product updates for Rides and Uber Eats separately.
- Turn off the Email channel for each marketing category. Leave order-related notifications alone if you still want delivery alerts.
This is Uber's own recommended route and the only place you can see every stream at once, which makes it far more reliable than chasing individual emails.
Method 2: the in-email Unsubscribe link
Every Uber Eats promotional email carries an Unsubscribe link in the footer, and Uber also sets the standard List-Unsubscribe header, so Gmail and Apple Mail show a native one-click Unsubscribe button at the top of the message. Both work without hunting through settings, but remember the scope: one click removes you from that category only. If a different promo lands next week, it came from a stream you have not opted out of yet.
Method 3: app notification settings
In the Uber app, Settings → Notifications → Promotions and news controls promotional push notifications. The Uber Eats app carries its own notification toggles under the account settings area. Push and email are independent channels - silencing one does not touch the other, so do both if you want real quiet.
When Uber Eats emails keep coming back
The multi-stream setup is the usual reason an opt-out seems to fail: you killed the deals list but the recommendations list is still live, or a partner-offer stream you never noticed picks up the slack. Winback campaigns aimed at lapsed customers are another repeat offender. About 30 days after you opt out, ClearMyInbox quietly re-scans for Uber Eats mail and tells you whether the sender truly went silent or crept back, so a half-finished opt-out cannot hide for months.
Filter as a last resort
If a stream refuses to die, filter it at the mailbox. In Gmail, create a filter on the exact promo sender address and send it to Skip Inbox or Delete - keep the filter narrower than all of uber.com so receipts still land. Outlook users can Sweep the sender or add it to blocked senders under Junk email settings.
What you cannot opt out of
Order confirmations, receipts, refund notices, and safety or privacy updates are transactional. They fire only when you actually use Uber Eats, and no marketing setting removes them. If even those bother you, the only fix is deleting the account.
Dealing with the whole food delivery category
Uber Eats rarely travels alone in an inbox. If you also hear from Postmates (Uber-owned, running on the same infrastructure) or DoorDash, each needs its own opt-out. Our guide to stopping food delivery emails covers the full category playbook.
Frequently asked questions
Why am I still getting Uber Eats emails after unsubscribing?▾
Uber runs separate marketing streams for Rides, Uber Eats deals, recommendations, and partner offers. The footer link only opts you out of the stream that sent that specific email, so another stream can keep mailing you. Opt out of each one, or switch everything off at once at accounts.uber.com/communication.
Does unsubscribing stop my Uber Eats order receipts?▾
No. Receipts, delivery status updates, and safety or privacy notices are transactional messages. Uber sends them whenever you place an order regardless of your marketing settings, and there is no way to opt out of them.
Where is the Uber communication preferences page?▾
Sign in at accounts.uber.com/communication. It is the central hub Uber points to for email, text, and push preferences, and it covers marketing for Rides and Uber Eats from one screen.
Does opting out of Uber Eats emails also stop Uber ride emails?▾
Not automatically. Rides and Eats promotions are separate categories on the same Uber account. The communication preferences hub lets you switch each category off individually, so review the full list rather than assuming one opt-out covers both.
Do Postmates emails count as Uber Eats emails?▾
Postmates is owned by Uber and orders run through Uber Eats infrastructure, but Postmates promotions arrive from their own sender address. Use the unsubscribe link in a Postmates email or the same Uber communication hub to deal with them.
