How to unsubscribe from Weight Watchers emails
To unsubscribe from Weight Watchers (now WW) emails, the cleanest route is Communication preferences inside your WW account at ww.com/us/account. WW splits email into several categories: newsletter, recipes, workshop reminders, marketing promotions, surveys, and renewal/winback reminders. Each has its own toggle. Cancellation is a separate flow - email opt-out does not stop billing. Below covers the account method, the in-email link, and a bulk option for inboxes packed with wellness and diet-app marketing.
Try ClearMyInbox free - bulk unsubscribe in one click, free for the first 3 scans.
Method 1: WW Communication preferences
- Sign in at ww.com/us/account.
- Scroll to Communication preferences (sometimes labelled Email preferences).
- You will see categories: Newsletter, Workshop reminders, Recipes, Marketing promotions, Surveys, Renewal reminders.
- Untick everything you do not want. Save.
Transactional email (billing receipts, payment failure notifications, password resets) is not in the toggle list and continues. So does activity-tracking mail tied to the WW app if you have notifications enabled inside the app.
Method 2: in-email Unsubscribe link
Every WW marketing email has a footer Unsubscribe link. Works without an account login, signed to your address, but only stops the specific category for that email. Gmail and Apple Mail also expose WW's List-Unsubscribe header as a one-click top-of-message button.
Method 3: phone or chat with WW Member Services
If you have lost access to the account and cannot click an email:
- Call WW Member Services at 1-800-651-6000, available during business hours.
- Tell the rep you want to be removed from all marketing emails.
- Provide the email address you want removed.
- Ask for written confirmation. WW processes within 10 business days.
Method 4: bulk opt-out across all wellness apps
WW is one of many wellness services that send marketing on a daily or weekly cadence. ClearMyInbox scans your inbox for every wellness sender and lets you opt out from many at once.
Cancelling WW membership entirely
If you no longer want the membership, cancellation is separate from email opt-out:
- Sign in at ww.com/us/account.
- Open Plan & Billing.
- Choose Cancel. Some plans allow self-service cancellation; others require a phone call to Member Services.
- Confirm cancellation in writing (chat transcript or email).
After cancellation, expect winback marketing for several months unless you also opt out of the marketing category.
Frequently asked questions
WW or Weight Watchers - is there a difference? ▾
No. Weight Watchers rebranded to WW in 2018 and the company is now called WW International. Marketing emails use both names interchangeably. The opt-out applies to both.
Does unsubscribing from emails cancel my WW subscription? ▾
No. Email opt-out and your WW membership are independent. To cancel membership, open Account → Plan & Billing and choose Cancel, or call WW Member Services. Email opt-out only silences marketing.
Where is the WW email preferences page? ▾
Sign in at ww.com/us/account, scroll to Communication preferences. The page lists newsletter, workshops, recipes, marketing, and renewal-reminder categories with separate toggles.
How do I stop WW workshop reminder emails? ▾
On the Communication preferences page, untick Workshop reminders. This is the email category for in-person and virtual workshop alerts. It is separate from general marketing.
I cancelled WW months ago - why am I still getting emails? ▾
WW runs win-back campaigns for former members with reactivation offers (sometimes "first month free" or 50%-off promos). Use the in-email Unsubscribe link or the Communication preferences page to silence marketing. The Member Services route via phone also processes a marketing opt-out if you cannot access the account.
