How to unsubscribe from Hilton emails

To unsubscribe from Hilton emails, log in at hilton.com, select your name in the top-right corner, then go to Profile → Email subscriptions, select Unsubscribe, and save your changes - that is the official Hilton Help Center flow, and it covers Hilton Honors promotions and partner offers alike. Two things to know up front: Hilton says the opt-out can take up to ten business days to fully kick in, and reservation confirmations, check-in and digital key messages, and stay receipts are transactional, so they keep arriving no matter what you untick.

Method 1: Email subscriptions on hilton.com

  1. Log in at hilton.com with your Hilton Honors credentials.
  2. Select your name in the top-right corner, then select Profile.
  3. Open Email subscriptions.
  4. Select Unsubscribe, choose the applicable option - you can drop specific subscriptions or opt out across the board, including partner offers - and select Save Changes.

Worth weighing before you nuke everything: Honors promotional email is where registration-required bonus point offers arrive. Opting out fully means checking the offers page on hilton.com manually if you still chase points.

Method 2: the Hilton Honors app

  1. Log in to the Hilton Honors app.
  2. Select the Account tab at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Open Email subscriptions.
  4. Select Unsubscribe, choose your option, and save.

Method 3: the opt-out page and footer link (no login needed)

Not an Honors member, or locked out of an old account? Hilton maintains a dedicated unsubscribe page at hilton.com/en/hilton-honors/optout/unsubscribe that works without signing in. The unsubscribe link in the footer of any Hilton marketing email does the same, and Gmail and Apple Mail show a native one-click Unsubscribe button at the top of Hilton marketing messages.

Method 4: bulk-unsubscribe your whole hotel stack

Hilton mail rarely travels alone - loyalty programmes and booking sites accumulate with every trip, each with a differently-buried preference page. ClearMyInbox scans your inbox and lets you opt out of the whole stack in one sitting. If you are doing a manual sweep instead, Marriott hides its switches in Bonvoy Communication Preferences and Hotels.com has its own corner too.

When the Hilton opt-out does not stick: mind the ten-day window

Hilton is one of the few senders that publishes its lag: up to ten business days before an opt-out takes effect. That makes the first two weeks a bad time to judge success - campaigns already queued will still land. After that window, genuine causes remain: a second email address on file with its own subscriptions, or mail from Hilton Grand Vacations, the separate timeshare company whose lists Hilton Honors preferences do not touch. ClearMyInbox removes the guesswork - roughly a month after your unsubscribe it re-checks whether Hilton actually went quiet and labels the sender Confirmed stopped, or flags it as still emailing so you know to dig further.

Filter or block during the lag (and after)

If ten business days is ten too many, bridge the gap at the mailbox. In Gmail, filter the Hilton marketing sender to Skip Inbox or Delete - target the promotional address, not the whole domain, so reservation confirmations survive. In Outlook, Sweep the sender or add it to Blocked senders and domains under Junk email settings. More patterns in our guide to stopping unwanted emails on Gmail.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take for Hilton emails to stop?

Hilton says opt-out requests can take up to ten business days to become effective. Emails arriving inside that window are campaigns already in flight, not a failed unsubscribe - judge the result after two weeks, not two days.

Where are the Hilton Honors email settings?

Log in at hilton.com, select your name in the top-right corner, choose Profile, then Email subscriptions. Select Unsubscribe, pick the applicable option, and select Save Changes. In the Honors app the same screen lives under the Account tab.

Does unsubscribing affect my Hilton Honors points or status?

No. Email subscriptions and the loyalty programme are independent - your points balance, nights, and tier status are unchanged. The only cost is missing promotional offers, some of which require registration to earn bonus points.

Can I unsubscribe from Hilton emails without an Honors account?

Yes. Hilton runs a dedicated opt-out page at hilton.com/en/hilton-honors/optout/unsubscribe that does not require a login, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link in the footer that works the same way.

Will I still get my reservation confirmation after unsubscribing?

Yes. Confirmations, pre-arrival messages, digital key and check-in emails, and receipts for stays are transactional. They are tied to bookings you make, not to a marketing list, and continue after any opt-out.

Why am I still getting Hilton Grand Vacations emails?

Hilton Grand Vacations is a separate, spun-off company that runs the timeshare business under a licensed name. Its lists are managed independently, with its own opt-out - unsubscribe via the links in its emails, because Hilton Honors preferences do not cover it.
