How to unsubscribe from Temu emails

One unsubscribe is almost never enough with Temu. It runs region-specific storefronts and campaign systems that send from different addresses, so a footer link removes you from the one stream that email came from and leaves the others running - which reads as Temu ignoring the request when it is really a different list. Temu is an aggressive sender across all of them: daily deal blasts, referral bonus reminders, "your cart is waiting" abandoned-cart sequences, and a steady drip of "free gift" reactivation campaigns. Method 1: Temu Notifications page

1. Open the Temu app (or sign in at temu.com). Start here rather than with a footer link: those clear one stream, and Temu sends from several storefronts on different addresses.
2. Tap Account at the bottom right (or click your name on web), then Settings.
3. Tap Notifications.
4. Open the Email tab (or column on web).
5. Untick every category: Promotions, Recommendations, Surveys, Referral rewards, Order recommendations.
6. Save.

The order confirmation and shipping notification toggles are transactional - keep them on if you still place orders so you continue receiving delivery updates.

Method 2: also disable Temu push notifications

Many Temu users find the push notifications more disruptive than the emails. They are managed in the same Notifications panel:

1. Same path: Account → Settings → Notifications.
2. Open the Push tab.
3. Switch off every category.

For nuclear-option silence on iOS: Settings → Notifications → Temu → Allow Notifications: Off. Android: Settings → Apps → Temu → Notifications: Off.

Method 3: in-email Unsubscribe link

Every Temu promo email has a footer Unsubscribe link. It works without a login but only kills the single category that sent the email. Gmail and Apple Mail expose Temu's List-Unsubscribe header as a one-click top-of-message button - the fastest.

Permanent fix: delete the Temu account

Account deletion is the most permanent opt-out. Open Account → Account security → Delete account and confirm. Temu holds the account for 15 days before fully deleting it. Mail may continue during that window then stops entirely.

Why Temu emails sometimes keep coming

Temu opt-outs are category-scoped, and Temu runs a lot of categories. Untick Promotions and the Referral rewards stream keeps sending; kill the footer link on a flash-sale email and the "free gift" campaign is untouched. Regional storefronts add a second wrinkle: Temu sends from region-specific addresses, so a promo stream tied to one sending address can carry on after you opted out of another. And because campaigns are queued in advance, emails scheduled before your opt-out can still land for several days afterwards.

In Outlook, right-click the message and choose Block sender, or add the sending domain under Settings → Mail → Junk email → Blocked senders and domains.
